make_recovery pax_iux: /dev/rmt/0m: this doesn't look like a tar file
I have one make_recovery from one N4000 server. I used this make for clone this server into other N4000.
I run the make_recovery process in backgrund and in one step the process show me these errors:
WARNING: f_unzip: invalid compressed data__crc error
......
pax_iux: /dev/rmt/0m: this doesn't look like a tar archive
pax_iux: skipping to next file
ERROR: cannot load OS archive (recovery archive)
Then the installation was aborted. I tried to run with interactive method but the same error.

There have been many, many fixes and improvements to Ignite since the days of make_recovery.

Re: make_recovery pax_iux: /dev/rmt/0m: this doesn't look like a tar file
So you are a wee bit out of date.
make_recovery is included with Ignite, and should not be used. Its obsolete and if you take this case to the response center they are going to tell you to use make_tape_recovery.
Tso possible suggestions.
use make_tape_recovery
go to the patch database and get the latest pax patch.
