ERROR: The make_sys_image command failed. The system recovery archive will
not be created.
Can anyone shed some light on this error?

The error mesage output or /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log refers to an erorr log that contains details.
The most common error involves a lack of adequate disk space on the /var filesystem but you really need to find the ignite log to get exact information. Those messages are actually pretty accurate and informative.
If you still don't know what to do post that message and someone will try and help.

However, in looking in the error log /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log (attached), we were not able to dicipher what the cause of this error is. Can anyone shed some light?
