make_tape_recovery completed unsuccessfully

dear hpux guru,
the make_tape_recovery is failed. the error is:
/opt/ignite/bin/save_config[217]: 29166 Floating exception(coredump)
save_config: Error - cannot determine lv "/dev/vg00/lvol2" usage via fstyp
ERROR: /opt/ignite/bin/save_config failed


how to resolve this error? hope to hear from you. thank you

# fstyp /dev/vg00/lvol2
Check if you get the following error

make_tape_recovery gave errors like below.

/opt/ignite/bin/save_config[210]: 28241 Floating exception(coredump)
save_config: Error - cannot determine lv "/dev/vg00/lvol2" usage via
fstyp
ERROR: /opt/ignite/bin/save_config failed

The cause of the make_tape_recovery error traced back to the fact
that "fstyp /dev/vg00/lvol2" coredumped with SIGFPE.

# fstyp /dev/vg00/lvol2
Floating exception(coredump)

i have applied the patches, and the make_tape_recovery was running but completed with warning. when i check the recovery.log, it says:
WARNING: You are about to create an Itanium-based recovery tape. If this
system does NOT support direct tape boot, you will need to perform
"two-step media recovery" where the boot media (CD or DVD) has the
same version of Ignite-UX as the version on this tape.

is this critical error? how to resolve this? hope to hear from you. thank you

This is not an error, only warning which inform you that if server doesn't support tape booting then you have to go with CD/DVD booting while restoring the backup.
You can go ahead.

What is the server model?
Check on Itanium systems, the efi environment have a driver for the sequential device or not.
If server is not supported tape boot you can use cd/dvd media for boot and then use your ignite backup tape for recovery.
