SolutionThe only problem is that some hparray log files that existed at the start of the operation didn't exist when pax actually got around to copying them to tape. I don't think they are going to cause you any problem should you need to re-build from this tape.

Re: make_tape_recovery completed with warnings
"The medium in the device is flawed. If the medium is removable, replace
the medium with a fresh one.
Alternatively, if the medium is not removable, the device has experienced
a hardware failure. Repair or replace the device, as necessary."

Re: make_tape_recovery completed with warnings
It should be OK. you just miss the following files:
/var/opt/hparray/log/AMM94920
/var/opt/hparray/log/AMM94921
/var/opt/hparray/log/AMM94922
/var/opt/hparray/log/AMM94923

Re: make_tape_recovery completed with warnings
http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000069507321
Document description: Could not read the /etc/resolv.conf file and make_tape_recovery
Document id: UIUXKBRC00013161
The other warnings are about files listed when the ignite process begun but are no longer on the system when the archive started (tempfiles)
Hope this helps,
Robert-Jan

Re: make_tape_recovery completed with warnings
yes, I think the tape is still usable.
Problem colud be about configuration of your HP-UX system.
Anyway could you post the make_tape_recovery command that you are using?
Regards,
Ettore
