make_tape_recovery error

I am running the following command:
make_tape_recovery -Iv -x inc_entire=vg00 -x exclude=/tmp -a /dev/rmt/1mn
In the recovery log, I'm getting the following error in the attachment.

any ideas?
This is a hp-ux 11.0 server running ignite B.4.1.61

Re: make_tape_recovery error

I suggest the following.

1. Remove the ignite product and re-install.

2. Make sure there are no logical volumes referenced in /etc/fstab that are not physically present in vg00.

Re: make_tape_recovery error

Hello,

I would go to line 140 of the file and look for something wrong (embedded chars, etc.)

Also look at /var/opt/ignite/recovery/config.recover as well.

Hope this helps

Re: make_tape_recovery error

Sridhar, I've already tried those steps w/o any success. I was previously running ignite version B.3.6.82 before I reinstalled with the same errors. thanks though.

Chris, I don't have a config.recover but line 140 is screwed up.
line 140 "size=ninode=unlimited,bsize=1024,version=3,inosize=256KB"
The problem is that I don't understand how that config file is generated. Every time ignite is started, a new config file is created with the problem line.

Re: make_tape_recovery error

Hello, again

If memory serves, the files that are created under the latest archive directory are derived from the previous archive directory. Try fixing your system.cfg file and run it again....

Results?

Hope this helps

Re: make_tape_recovery error

no such luck. I'm getting the same exact error. I've opened a call with HP but they seem to be stumped as well. Thanks for the help.
