Re: maximum lvol size?

Hi Raul,

128Gb is the limit for HP-UX 10.20.
You can have filesystems as large as 1Tb with HP-UX 11.0
32 or 64 bit has no influence on the filesystem size limit.

You can extend lvol over the 128Gb limit under 10.20 but it's not supported by HP.

Dan

Re: maximum lvol size?

Hi Raul,

Document KBQA00000054 states the following:

When HPUX 11.x started to be shipped, the upper limit was 128 GB. However,
it was not thought about from a technical standpoint.
According to the verification since then, concerning JFS 3.1/3.3, it is
officially supported as far as 1.0 TB.

Best regards,

Dan
