Maximum NIS client connections
Hi,
Not sure if this has been posted before, I cannnot find the answer.
We currently have an L2000 acting as our NIS server with a 100Mb lan card as the main client lan.
We have approx 140 clients connecting to the NIS via the lan card and are finding very slow connect times, we will be moving the lan to a Gigabit in approx 1 week and are going to place a NIS slave to help with the problem.
Is there a recommended amount of clients per NIS server/slave that should be followed?

I'd Rather be Flying!!!
