maximum size of logical filesystem
Hi goody,
Can anybody help us. What is the maximum size of logical filesystem. Our current environment is HPUX-11.23 rx8640. . coz we have a client that needs a large filesystem w/c is 2tb plus. I've already setup the 1.5tb file system using the 64mbP.E size (Physical extends)on the volume group. where just want to know the maximum size of logical filesystem and what will be the advantage/disadvantage of having a big filesystem.
thanks.

Re: maximum size of logical filesystem
Hi,
Please refer to
docs.hp.com/en/6054/LVM_Limits_White_Paper_V4.pdf
You could have FS of only 2TB in LVM 1.0
From LVM 2.0 you could have FS of 16TB
Regards
Sunny
