Maximum user logins under HP-UX
Since our K370 has multiple network cards I am considering moving the ftp for customers from a Windows NT machine to the Unix since the data is generated there anyway.
I have let several users (six at the moment) connect to the K370 under HPUX with telnet and their own ID and it works fine.
How should I read this 'two-user' lincense. Does this mean I can connect many more as well ??

Re: Maximum user logins under HP-UX
A LAN card is deemed to be one interface.
So with a two user license, you could have
- the console
- any amount of users on lan0
or
- the console
- the internal modem
In the latter case no logins would be allowed from the LAN.
I don't know if this is how 'two user' is supposed to be interpreted in licensing terms but this is the way it works.

Re: Maximum user logins under HP-UX
The license count refers to physical interfaces. Therefore the LAN counts as one and you can have lots of users connection and only count once.

1 console + 1 LAN = 2 users
