MC Service Guard Clsuter
Hi All
In MC Service Guard, Can we make package online without package IP.
Requirement:
Adding a package in existing cluster.
Created a logical volume.
created a package configuration file, (edited as per requriement)
Create package control file (But as of now we are not having IP address)Is is possible to make online this package.

yes the package does not have to have a IP but the question is how to people use it unless it is a application that reads data from somewhere else and processes it.
Multinode packages do not have IPs.

Hi,
One importance of many of package IP is that at the client side when the package failsover the package IP remains consistent and no reconfiguration is required. However, this would not be the case if the application was running based on the IP address of the node.
