MC Service Guard Cluster
Hi Gurus,
We are doing a feasibility to have a cluster solution on 2 rp7410 servers with a va array as the common storage.
On the nodes we will be running ERP 11.5.7.both nodes would be active. On the failover node we would be having other applications too ruuning and would not be sitting idle.
Please provide me the steps to do the configuration, the package configuration and any other steps that would help me to have a successful cluster.
I need to monitor my ERP application too so that if the listeners are down the script should start the listeners.

Re: MC Service Guard Cluster
Hi,
Few points to consider ...
1. Keep ERP and applications on separate VGs.
2. Make sure that incase of a node failure the other nodes has enough resources to handle ERP and other applications.
3. For HA configuration visit this site,
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/ha/
4. Check if ECM toolkit has a package script for your applications.

Re: MC Service Guard Cluster
I suggest you start by reading the Managing MC/ServiceGuard manual at:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/ha
and also think seriously about taking hte HP Customer Education course before tackling this, unless you intend using a consultant familiar with this.
