Re: MC -service guard node id
Syslog may tell you the clsuetr co-ordinator who re-formed the cluster. But, normally cluster co-ordinator can be anyone in the clsuter. We can't predict that..

Ramesh

Re: MC -service guard node id
The coordinator will be in the syslog.log:
The new active cluster membership is: oradev1(id=1), oradev2 (id=2)
The first one in the syslog entry supposed to be the cluster coordinator (id=1).

Re: MC -service guard node id
cmcld is the actual process for joining nodes, but really i don't know why u are asking such a question ? from my understanding u have no control over it
how to know which node will be selected to be cluster coordinator?, the information in syslog in all node is enough to diagnostic the cluster related problems
thanks and regards

Re: MC -service guard node id
You've already been pointed at how to find out who is the cluster coordinator - the question is - why do you care? If the coordinator drops out of the cluster, another node is elected to that position automatically, and there are no standard Serviceguard commands that require you to be on the coordinator to run.
As for 'holding the lock vg and lock disk', well the lock vg will be active on whichever node is running the package that contains the lock vg, but no node really 'holds the lock disk' - any node can access it at any timen for the purposes of arbitrating cluster membership.
