Solutioncmquerycl -v -w -C /etc/cmcluster/test.conf -n server1 -n server2
Do that on both servers - to see the results of the network.

Re: MC/ServiceGuard - Floating IP
If you are not able to ping Floating IP that mean your package was either down or in a process of initialisation. If starting doesn't take so long then better to view your package log file to see where exactly the problem occured.
Package Log file is located at:
/etc/cmcluster/
Hope that helps.
Regards,
P.s. If possible you can attach the same so that it can analysed here.

Re: MC/ServiceGuard - Floating IP
If the package had just switched, then the new adoptive node would have to issue a re-arp out to the network, and some older network devices do not refresh upon receipt of this, but wait a default of 10 minutes before flushing their arp cache. This may be what you saw.

Re: MC/ServiceGuard - Floating IP
What were you looking at the log file?Maybe you could look for LAN Failure on your syslog.
Does the package running in the same server after the problem or it have switch over?
Thanks & Regards
