You will probably have to contact your HP Account Rep or place a Software Support service call.

Re: MC/ServiceGuard, IBM Shark and SDD
I can confirm this. We run an MC/SG cluster with two nodes that used to be attached to an IBM ESS Shark disk array. We heard that SDD wouldn't work in an MC/SG cluster and that is correct. We tried it and it failed. The SDD software replaces your cXtXdX disk devices with vpath1, vpath2, etc. These vpathXX devices are fine with LVM on a standalone box, but MC/SG doesn't like them, and the cluster configuration will complain about them and fail. One reason why we now live on an XP1024 disk array.
Been there, tried that, still got the Shark fin. :)

SDD is not supported on ServiceGuard. PVLinks works fine.

Re: MC/ServiceGuard, IBM Shark and SDD
We have several sharks connected to our clusters. it's not "supported" by HP , but we got "support" from IBM that it should work. (without SDD !)
We have different kinds of sharks.
I don't know what will happen when there's a firmware upgrade or something and the disk connections are gone...
Good luck,
Jasja
