MC ServiceGuard, Oracle 9i RAC and ESS800
Hi All,
I am trying to determine if a 2 node rp7420 MC/Service Guard, Oracle 9i RAC Cluster with an IBM ESS (Shark) Storage Array is a supported configuration?
Ussually the storage interoperability support sits with the storage vendor and the IBM Interoperability Support matrix does show support for ServiceGuard, but it does not make mention of the MC/Service Guard Extension or Oracle 9i RAC.
Is anyone running this configuration? Or know if anyone has tested this configuration? Any Gotcha's would be great.
thanks,
Rob

Re: MC ServiceGuard, Oracle 9i RAC and ESS800
SGeRAC is now only an add-on product which is installed on top of SG. Therefore any storage supported with SG is also supported with SGeRAC. Even for previous versions where SG and SG OPS Edition where two separate products, they supported the same storage hardware.

Re: MC ServiceGuard, Oracle 9i RAC and ESS800
Thanks for the input. The ess800 is supported with the rp7410 and brocade. Hopefully, they will support the rp7420 and McData.

Re: MC ServiceGuard, Oracle 9i RAC and ESS800
IBM may support this but not HP. If the ESS800 can handle the cluster lock disk, then it probably will work.
