McAfee has a version of their antivirus software available for HP-UX. I'm aware of the belief that UNIX servers are fairly immune to viruses. How we plan on using the antivirus software is to scan windows based documents that will be uploaded and stored on a UNIX web server. The fear is that if the document is not scanned prior to storage, when a user requests to have that document, at a later time, to be downloaded to their PC, that when they open it and it has been infected that their PC could then be infected. Assume, for the purpose of this question, that antivirus software is not part of a standard PC OS load. Has anybody heard of any limitations or problems with McAfee for HP-UX? Are there any required patches needed? What version of McAfee is current supported by HP (if any)?
Thank you in advance for you assistance,

Re: McAfee Antivrus for HP-UX
Hi Brian,
You should get in touch with Mcafee for getting more details about the pacthes since HP does not support Mcafee on HPUX.
