MCSG Checklist
I want to prepare an MCSG Checklist for the following:
1. Creating a new cluster with 2 or more nodes
2. Adding a node to an existing cluster
3. Creating a new package.
What will be the format and What all points needs to be incorporated?
I have read the Managing the MC/Service Guard Guide but not able to concise it in the form of a checklist.
Thanks for your help.

Re: MCSG Checklist
1) Redundant HVAC systems?
2) Backup Power? Not just UPS but probably a standby generator.
3) Redundant network switches, NIC's, cabling? Redundant WAN? Extra network link for heartbeat?
4) At least one secondary DNS or NIS server?
5) Redundant disk arrays, alternate paths for all cluster VG's.
6) Both boxes patched to the same level?
You also need to be very "up to speed" on LVM or VxVM if you are using Veritas Volume Manager.
Setting up a cluster for the first time is a little daunting. This is one of those times that I would really suggest that you go to the class so that you can do all the stupid things and try to break it using someone else's toys. You also need to think about using VP/O (VantagePoint / Operations) (or equivalent package) to monitor the health of your cluster and network.

Re: MCSG Checklist
I was reading your good answer , and I want to get hold on the papers you point to.
When searching on Doc ID or Title, I get the answer that "it produces no results".
Can you help out, with links please.

Re: MCSG Checklist
2) Select the "Login" link on the left bar and complete the login process
3) Click the "search technical knowledge base" link under the header "maintenance and support" in the middle of the window
4) In the resulting window, change "search by keyword" to "search by Doc. ID"
5) Enter the Doc. ID in the field, press "Search" button.
To broaden the search, use this generic Doc. ID search string: U*SG*
Using this method, I was able to open each of the 3 documents I mentioned.
I noted that some documents (application notes) are not appearing. I will investigate this.
