Hey Admins,
I have a couple of MDP panels hanging off of one of my K-class servers. What kind of havoc would I reek on my system if I snatched one of the panels off without taking the system down?
Thanks,
-Bryan

Re: MDP panel on K-class
Bryan,
Start SAM,
Peripheral Devices
Terminals and Modems
Actions
Remove Modem
"Think" now it is save to remove your panel.
If you check the install manual you can see that it an advice to reboot your K after install, so ux will notice it.
Hope it helps,
Robert-Jan.

Solution
Hi Bryan,
I would suggest that it is not a good thing to do. There is a possability that the box could panic or HPMC - it is something that I imagine has not been tested.
I believe that you should have a MDP connected to all MUX cards whilst the system is up.
regards,
Darren.

Calm down. It's only ones and zeros...
