===============================================
I have set up a couple of applications in the /var/opt/perf/parm file .
Even though there are more than 5 processes "alive" for the said application, the alarms are generated(ie e mails are sent to me). I am using the "app alive proc" parameter in the alarmdef file for checking.
"gpm" also reports that there are 6 processes alive for the said application at any point of time. Inspite of this, measueware alarms are sent to me. I checked the alarmdef file and the alarm script is exactly the same as I have configured the alarms for the other application. All other alarms work ok, only this wouldnt.
Is this a known bug with measureware ? I am missing something here ?
Any help would be apreciated
Thank you
Krishnan

Re: Measureware sending alarms incorrectly
I saw it already but there should be a way to monitor my application - right ?
At any point of time I always see 5 processes alive, so why should mwa complain ? These are pretty much static.
This is happening only with one specific alarm
Normally when you shuffle the order of entries in the parm file it works wonders ! I tried all those but I am getting nowhere. In fact I have gotten latest revision of mwa as well.
thanks

Re: Measureware sending alarms incorrectly
Is the Glance and Measureware installed from the same application CD ? Both uses the Measurement (MI) file set. This will create issues, if any mismatches.
Some thoughts ...
