Memory util. growth after upgrade from 10.20 to 11.0 (32 bits)
A D250 servers (mainly running Sybase dataserver) was upgraded from 10.20 to 11.0 recently. No hardware change. But the memory utilization was grown significantly.
Around 80% memory utilization before upgrade, but 9X% after upgrade.
Viewing from glance (and PerfView), it seems that many system processes utilize more memory compare with before upgrade. Although the increase for each process is not large, but the sum of all may be significant.
Does anyone have any idea about this?
Thanks

Re: Memory util. growth after upgrade from 10.20 to 11.0 (32 bits)
You may need to reconfigure your kernel - specifically - bufpages and nbuf should be 0 in HP11 - (Use dbcmaxpct and dbcminpct)
Some of the 10.20 kernel parameters were backward compatible with 9.X os, and that backward compatibility is not recommended on HP11.
I have upgraded a lot of 10.20's to 11.00 (oracle included, and it is not uncommon to have to tune it)
HP 11 has a rich set of pre-tuned templates which are available in SAM.
Good luck
