Merging similar files with sdiff

Hi there --

I need to merge two versions of the same file into one, and I was planning on using sdiff to accomplish this task.

I was going to run sdiff interactively, but I need to know how to "respond" when I get the % prompt for each line. Can someone clarify this? Thanks.

Re: Merging similar files with sdiff

Hi Andrew:

The 'sdiff' manpages explain your options. Simply read the section underneath '-o output'.

Andrew,
did you have a look at the "merge" command ?

Hi there --

I did look at merge, but I opted to go with sdiff only because I wanted to be able to choose what parts of what files would go into the merged file. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
