i found this message via dmesg,

sasd: [ALERT] Driver detected a software downgrade.
sasd: The current driver version is unsupported
sasd: for the Serial SCSI HBA at hw path 0/1/1/0.
sasd: Please install the latest SerialSCSI-00 depot ASAP.

is there anything i need to do?

Well, I would say that the message is telling you exactly what to do.

Well, I would have to say if you are getting a message this specific from the system and you have to ask "is there anything i need to do?" then you are not the person to be doing it -- or managing this system.
