Re: Message on dmesg
Shalom,
File annexed? Sounds like a local political statement in my part of the world.
the dmesg output shows the following:
Possible bad disk
dmesg -
wait a bit
dmesg
If you still see an lbolt message, you are going to be replacing a disk shortly.
The reason I give the commands above is becaue if you have done a hot disk swap, you can trigger an lbolt that is not serious. Generally lbolt messages coming from other than hot swap disks means something is amiss, usually a disk, though depending on your system, it could be scsi termination, cables or even a drive cage.

Re: Message on dmesg
Hi Miguel,
The lbolt applies to cb02200, when you convert cb back to decimal you will see it applies to:
Character = 203
Driver = sctl
On one of my systems, running an imaging system, the cb/203 under /dev applies to an OSAR device. Do you have a similar type of device that may be using this particular driver.....? So it is possible you may not be looking for a disk, but rather a 'drive'.
Just something to check,
Rgrds,
Rita

Re: Message on dmesg
Hi MC,
Device 203 is normally the tape changer device in a tape library. Tape drives are 205. You need to talk to your backup people or investigate just what's going on with the robot. Sometimes these are just transients - but better safe than sorry...
Rgds,
Jeff
