As i remember HP-UX keeps set of default conf files in a location. can any one provide me this location.
Or if i delete this file will it be created at the next boot.

Re: Messed up netconf

Hi

the location is in /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d directory.
you can find here a sample file of netconf.

Re: Messed up netconf

On an HPUX you can find all the sample files in /usr/newconfig and for netconf since its original location is /etc/rc.config.d it can be found in /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d

NO on it wont be created when you reboot the machine. Probably your machine will not come on network if you deleted and restarted the server.

Re: Messed up netconf

Thanks Guys for All the support. I did corrected the problem using /sbin/set_prams initials. The actual course was messed up not only the netconf and host file.So with this case i notice that /etc/hosts and /etc/rc.config.d/netconf is heavily dependent on each other and hostname of the system directly makes impacts on your CDE as well.
