Re: metada hits
Can you explain yourself a little better, as to exactly what you are looking for and what you are trying to accomplish and what your question is? Are you asking if the HP OS the ability or if HP in general?

Re: metada hits
Hi S,
I came across some of your postings, though interesting but they are lacking details. Pliz provide more details if you want valued feedback. Here some ideas from "ITRC Forums Etiquette"

Re: metada hits
Hi,
First let me tell u that i am astarter for hp-ux ( first o.s i am ever working) and sorry for not putting the doubt clearly. Actually I am developing a tool to display number of system parameters ,in this tool i want the number of metadata hits and misses and number of dirty and clean pages to display (if availiable)at any given instant of time with other parameters which i have already got, and i am searching for these.
And no I am not not talking anything about the ability of any particular o.s.
Stephenson,
What i mean earlier was that can i treat number of block write requests as dirty pages before being written in to the disk.I asked this because i didn't got # of dirty pages pending to be written to the disk any where.
