Migrate from hpux11i v1 to hpux11i v2.
Hi guys,
I am migrating from hpux 11i v1 rp8420(trusted system) to hpux 11i v2 rx4640(Non-trusted system) ..what r the files i neeed to back up....??
And files i need to restore on hpux 11i v2......Help needed.......its producn server...

Shalom,
If you want your users to move, you will need the user section, id's above 100 from /etc/passwd and /etc/group
That will migrate your users.
As far as anything else, you are going to have to tell us what the servers do. If there is oracle data, stuff like that.

this is useful to copy the configuration from a trusted system to another.
In this Technical knowledge base document, the Problem statement is:
/* PROBLEM
The company is migrating to a new system, and the users need to be moved from
the old system. How is this accomplished when the old system is "trusted?"
The supported way to migrate users would be to untrust the system and transfer
over /etc/passwd, /etc/group, and /home. If for some reason this is not
