mismatch : command version 35 - kernel version 33

Hi All :

I am getting the above error when I run

#/usr/sbin/fsadm -DE /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s2

Would appreciate if you could help.

Why are you running the fsadm command on the disk device c1t0d0s2? Don't you use a volume manager such as LVM or VxVM?

Did you copy fsadm from another computer?

Re: mismatch : command version 35 - kernel version 33

Again, you are running a filesystem command on the disk slice c1t0d0s2. Do you have a veritas filesystem on that whole disk? Usually the fsadm command is run on volumes or mountpoints such as /dev/vg00/lvolX or /oradata1.

If indeed you have a filesystem on the whole disk c1t0d0s2, then based on the error, the kernel VxFS fileset is version 3.3 and the VxFS command fileset is version 3.5. You probably have a VxFS PHCO patch installed but do not have the equivalent VxFS kernel patch.

Need more details here about what is installed on this server.

Hi

Common problem, when you use a disk device path instead of a file system mount point like :

fsadm -e -E -d -E /usr
