missing lan interface
i have two lan-interfaces. The second one is only recognized by the hardware
root@machine>ioscan -fC lan

Most likly a driver problem - please check that you have driver installed.

execute the command
#insf -e ( this will install all the pseudo files)
#lanscan
If these didn't give you the result, then the driver is missing for lan1 which you need to install

think yo are right. Driver btlan5 is missing (run sam Kernel configuration drivers).

Driver will be on apps CD.
What card is it?
HP number will help to identify it.
