Missing NIC

Hello,

I am running a K260 with 2 NICs. Ioscan find them both.

But SAM shows only the build in card. The second is a HP HP-PB 100 Base TX card.

Any suggestions from the smart guys?

Re: Missing NIC

Have you got the latest patches installed?
If not this might be the plce to start, particularly SAM patches.
Have a look starting here for your operating system version.

If you cannot get the patches or need further help, please post a copy of your 'ioscan -fn' report. Somebody can then help with configuration from the command line.
Anyone for a Mutiny ?

Re: Missing NIC

ioscan -fn output:

lan 0 10/4/12 btlan1 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN HP HP-PB 100 Base TX card

Seems to be a HW-configuration problem. How could I set it up as interface?

Re: Missing NIC

This seems to be a combination of patches/config/files missing. I saw a similar posting a few days ago. Suggest you have a look at it. As I don't have a system to look at right now and you do, it may help.

Re: Missing NIC

Hi Michael,

a german proverb says 'better to talk about it', means people think about problems during they talk about it.

I can't find the btlan1 kernel driver in the list of available drivers.
Product A3495A -> B.11.00.06 HP-PB 100BT LAN/9000 wasn't installed.

Now the card is available in SAM.

Thank you and 10 Points once again for you.
