missing /usr/bin/ftpcount
Hello,
The HP-UX 11.23 I am running has a wu-ftp running in its internet srvcs. The associated ftpcount and ftpwho were in the /usr/bin. I installed proFTPD and I guess it might have overwritten the original files. Now I uninstalled the proFTPD and i think it deleted the /usr/bin/ftpcount and /usr/bin/ftpwho altogether.
I get the following errors when I run swverify and swjob in HPUXBaseOS.Could any one give me a solution to the problem.
Errors
ERROR: File "/usr/bin/ftpwho" missing.
ERROR: Fileset "InternetSrvcs.INETSVCS-RUN,l=/,r=B.11.23" had file
errors.
ERROR: File "/usr/bin/ftpcount" missing.
ERROR: Fileset "InternetSrvcs.INETSVCS2-RUN,l=/,r=B.11.23" had file
Help Appreciated
Thank you
Vinay
Attached is a file with output from swjob
after doung
swverify HPUXBaseOS

Re: missing /usr/bin/ftpcount
Simplest solution: remove wu-ftp and then reinstall it. Or install it with 'reinstall even if same version exists'. It seems your proFTPD package has a wrong idea of how to uninstall itself ;/
Every problem has at least one solution. Only some solutions are harder to find.
