Missing utilization data in IVM Manager (in SMH)
I've got a new 11i v3 (Mar 2010) install with IVM, built a VM guest, and am managing it in IVM Manager in System Management Homepage of the VM host. However, IVM Manager shows gray bars and "No Data" for CPU & Mem Utilization and Disk & Network I/O.
I set the WBEM credentials to a new user called ivmwbem, checked the "save user names and passwords in the filesystem" option, and created the user in the VM host and guest with the same password.
Running "cimprovider -ls" shows all providers as "OK", in both the host and guest.
What am I missing? I admit, I don't quite "get" the whole WBEM thing, but the documentation for IVM, IVM Manager, and WBEM is not helping much, either.

Re: Missing utilization data in IVM Manager (in SMH)
This is apparently fixed in IVM Manager 4.1.1; however, that release is not yet available for download as a separate entitiy from software.hp.com - it's only available as part of the ID-VSE product, and that release of IVM Manager only works with SIM, and you must install all of ID-VSE.
In the IVM Manager 4.1.1 Release Notes (http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02044091/c02044091.pdf), on page 9:
---------------------------------------------
Recent issues fixed in this release (A.4.1.1)
---------------------------------------------
This section lists problems found in an earlier version of VM Manager A.4.1 and that have been fixed for this current release.
VM Manager used with HP SMH does not display utilization data for guests
Applies to usage with: HP SMH standalone
The VM Manager product (A.4.1.0) installed from the HP-UX 11i v3 March 2010 Operating Environment Update Release (OEUR) and used with HP SMH does not display utilization data for virtual machines. For example, the following columns of the VM Host Virtual Machines tab display “No Data” instead of actual utilization data, and the utilization meters (bar graphs) incorrectly show 100% utilization:
• VM vCPU Utilization
• Memory Utilization
• Disk I/O
• Network I/O
This problem has been fixed with this latest release of VM Manager.
