mod_obj_load Error in Syslog

Hi

I am receiving the following error message in the syslog. It is continuously coming and filling my log.
vmunix: WARNING: MOD: mod_obj_load: Processing symbol table in module /stand/dlkm/mod.d/gvid_info failed

vmunix: mod_obj_load: Undefined symbol gvid_ext_mod in loadable module /stand/dlkm/mod.d/gvid_info.
Is there any problem in the kernel files. But system is booting fine and working.I am not receiving any errors while booting. Please advise

Thanks in advance.

What is your graphics device? Is it supported?

Re: mod_obj_load Error in Syslog

Hi,

if this is a PA8800 cpu system, you need to uninstall / unconfig gvid and associated drivers.

check out this link from itrc,

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000076332421

The doc id is 8606378019

This is applicable for rp3410, rp3440, rp4440 and other systems like a superdome that have a PA 8800 cpu installed

Hope this helps.
