Modem on L-class server

Hi, I have modem connected to L-class server, From the machine i'm able to dial out, but when i'm trying to dial in there is no activity on the modem.. may be the machine is not responding.

Do i need to do some changes in the machine,,

Did you change in GSP with the ER command to set it's value to "session mode" ? Example :-

GSP> er
ER
Current remote/modem port access: Locked-out
Do you want to modify this configuration? (Y/[N]) y
Remote/modem serial port access options:
[L]ocked-out: Lock out all dial-in access.
[G]SP : Dial-in results in a GSP login.
[S]ession : O/S controls modem for dial-in and dial-out

Hi,
What is your /etc/inittab entry for modem?
For Dial in replace "off" with "respawn"
then init q
Did you take a backup?
