modem reset

Hi,

Is there any other way to reset a modem (internal) apart from a total power off ?

Cheers In Advance

Re: modem reset

If you mean the internal modem in the D class range, the sad and depressing answer is NO.

There is a document somewhere in the response centre though that describes how to sort out a load of the timing problems that result in modem stops responding on the D class - I'll have a hunt about for it...

Re: modem reset

Hi,
For K/D series(internal):
Connect to the modem and issue an AT&D3
If this doesn't work, then the system will need to be shutdown with a -h power cycled and restarted.

For N/L Class(for the :
Issue a ^B(controlB) to get into the GSP mode.
GSP>MR (modem reset)
If this doesn't work, then the system will need to be shutdown and
power cycled and restarted.

Re: modem reset

Suggest you get an external one. Internals are a pain.
