modem usage on HP-UX
I met lots of difficulties when connecting a modem to an HP-UX box. Finally I can use it to setup a long distance terminal to an N4000 with:
1. CCIT control.
2. Turn off model compression.
But when I take the modem to another site, B2000, it stops working.
The issue is that the TR is off after about 24 seconds and the connection is lost.
Who can give an advice?

Re: modem usage on HP-UX
You may need to speak with HP's tech support. I had to modify the /etc/gettydefs file to accomodate my particular modem, per some specific instructions from HP. Not something I would have discovered on my own, either.
