Motif and X11 libraries with HP UX 10.2

We just installed HP 10.20 on an older HP Workstation. We used teh upgrade kit that HP sent to us a while back. After the install I cannot find the X11 or Motif libraries (i.e. libX11.a libXm.a) I do see some libX11.1 etc.

Any pointers are appreciated.

The X11 and ibraries for 10.20 are part of the X11.X11R4 or R5 or R6 filesets, and the Motif fileset is X11.MOTIF12

When you did the upgrade did you select X11 to be installed/upgraded ? You can access these filesets from the CORE-OS CD for 10.20 and use swinstall to install X11.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: Motif and X11 libraries with HP UX 10.2

The run-time versions of the X11 & Motif libraries are part of the core OS. These install in /usr/lib/X11R* and /usr/lib/Motif* respectively.

Developement support (including header files and archive versions of the libraries) is NOT part of the core OS. The C/ANSI C Developers bundle (B3899BA for s700 & B3901AA for s800) is the most common purchase which includes the X11MotifDevKit product, as well as support for Audio and Video APIs.
