Please refer the below output, mount-point /home is mounted from /dev/dsk/c6t6d0.
I don't see any entry under /etc/lvmtab for c6t6d0.
There is no problem accessing data from /home.
Is this new in 11.31 or some configuration information is missing?
# pvdisplay /dev/dsk/c6t6d0
pvdisplay: Couldn't find the volume group to which
physical volume "/dev/dsk/c6t6d0" belongs.
pvdisplay: Cannot display physical volume "/dev/dsk/c6t6d0".

Re: mount-point on 11.31
Somebody was using the whole disk without any volume manager (LVM) - thats why you can't see anything in /etc/lvmtab.
This is not new to 11.31, but IMHO just a bad configuration.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: mount-point on 11.31
I agree to have LVM rather than having whole disk configuration. I've never seen whole disk config in my setup before, always worked on LVM.
Other than LVM flexibilty, Can I see any performance enhancement if I move to LVM?
BTW: We're working on a case where this disk is having slight degraded performance.
Please suggest.
