Mount windows drives.
Hey everyone!
I have a simple (or maybe not) question.
I have a Windows 2000 box (I know, I know). I want to create a mount on my HPUX 11.0 box so I can use the disk space on the Windows box.
How do I do it in very simple terms (I'm not that smart). I have MKS toolkit. Is there a way to use that?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Use an nfs tool for windows, and export the file system.

Re: Mount windows drives.
I use a producr called Omni-NFS to set up an NT/W2K box as an NFS server. http://www.xlink.com. It's inexpensive and works well. You could also consider installing samba which is free but is more difficult to compile and configure.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Also have a look at HP's CIFS products:
CIFS/9000 Client (allows HP-UX to mount NT shares): http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=B8724AA
CIFS/9000 Server (allows HP-UX to share file systems which can then be mounted by NT clients): http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=B8725AA
