Mounting a remote directory (W2K) so that it shows files in Uppercase

hi,

my challenge is to mount a remote directory (W2K) so that it shows all files in UPPERCASE.

Currently it is mounted as follows: (extract from /etc/fstab)

myserver:/myshare /u03/mnt/fs1 cifs defaults 0 0

Please post-in your insights.

thanking you in advance.

Yogeeraj,
assuming you are using samba.
Set smb.conf parameter, "short preserve case = yes"
Please update if assumption is incorrect.

Take a look at this document:
http://docs.hp.com/en/B8724-90022/B8724-90022.pdf

I believe you want caseMapping=upper, which appears to be under defaultServer in the file cifsclient.cfg.

after you make the change you might have to restart the daemon cifsclientd
