Mounting Oracle RockRidge Format CDs

We are running HP-UX 10.20 and trying to mount Oracle CDs in RockRidge format.

I am logged in a root
I have started pfs_mountd and pfsd

When I execute pfs_mount, I get the message:

pfs_mount: on : Not owner.

root is the owner of the mount point. root is not the owner of the device (and nor should he be?). Howver I "chowned" the device to root temporarily, but this made no difference.

Does anyone know how I can get past this problem?

Re: Mounting Oracle RockRidge Format CDs

Add following lines to /etc/pfs_fstab file
< mount-point>
e.g.
/dev/dsk/c3t2d0 /cdrom pfs-rrip xlat=unix 0 0

Re: Mounting Oracle RockRidge Format CDs

This question may have been discussed in the past but 2 important bits are missing;

1. mount it using the soft option in /etc/pfs_fstab. This way if it does hang you wont have to reboot your server immediately (same as for nfs).
2. mount it using the raw disk device, /dev/rdsk/cxxx, its much more reliable. Since we started doing this we have much less problems with Oracle CD's.
