a RockRidge formatted CD on HP-UX 11.00 (Patched up to March 2002). Is there any way to
do this besides using pfs_mount??? If not, how exactly does this work?
Thanks

Re: mounting Rock Ridge cdroms
The HP-UX command "mount" has been enhanced to accept the rockridge format.
This makes the mounting of Oracle CDs much easier. This can be used instead of the pfs_mount commands.
For 11.0 and 11i you will need to use a "-o rr" option with mount.
Usage: mount -F cdfs -o rr /dev/dsk/cxtydz
For HP-UX 11i, you need two HP patches (released in March): PHKL_25760 for the kernel and PHCO_25841 for the mount. This code will also be back ported to 11.0.

Re: mounting Rock Ridge cdroms
Shinju, the 'mount -F cdfs -o rr /dev/dsk/cxtydz /cdrom' didn't work for me me on HP-UX 11.00 & I am patched up to the March 2002 QPK1100. Response from mount was 'illegal option -o rr'. Are you sure this works on 11.00 and not just 11i?

Re: mounting Rock Ridge cdroms
11i is available, as you already noticed. If they are indeed available end may, they'll probably be on the June QPK CD

Re: mounting Rock Ridge cdroms
As procura said, it might have been delayed. Check this TKB document, from which I gave you the information:
http://us-support2.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=347cc4e305ce7ae9f6/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=200000059348881
Also use 'nohup' command while you use pfs operations.
