Mounting samba shares

Hi,

is there any HP-UX replacement for the linux command smbmount(8) ? I tried a "man -k samba" to find out wich applications deal with samba, but it did not mention anything about mounting samba shares.

Thanks

Re: Mounting samba shares

CIFS is part of the HP-UX CDROMs and is likely to be installed on your machine. It is not a HP-UX replacement for Samba, but a different project for SMB protocol. Samba is also available for HP-UX if you absolutely want it.

Re: Mounting samba shares

I have the same here. No man page for cifsmount on any machine. Maybe it is not part of the depot (sounds strange).

Anyway, you can find info here :
