Mounting windows share to a hpus system

when i am trying to mount windows share to a hpux system i am getting this error
bash-2.04# cifsmount \\10.14.1.57\upload /smb/ -U marrarp
Remote user marrarp's password:
Connecting Server: UNIX: No such device or address
bash-2.04# cifslogin 10.14.1.57 marrarp -s
Remote user marrarp's password:
Logging in User: Server not connected!
bash-2.04#
what is the correct soloution

Shalom,

The bash shell might be giving you trouble here.

Otherwise please check or post the contents of smb.conf to see if tehre is a problem with that.

security=domain is what works for HP-UX to mount a filesystem elsewhere.

I also get confused with all those up and down slashes.

cifsmount //10.14.1.57/upload /smb/ -U username

That might be a better syntax.
