Mouse Wheel in X-Windows
Mixed environment, as follows:
Running Hummingbird Exceed 10. Exceed is configured to send events 4 and 5 when the mouse wheel is scrolled. On HP-UX 11.0, this works just fine (as long as the mouse is over a scroll bar).
Same PC connects to X on an AIX box, the wheel doesn't work as above. I figure it has something to do w/ the X configuration on the AIX box.
Can anybody shed any light on this?
Yeah, I know it's an HP forum, but I'm holding out hope, as I've always found good answers here.
Thanks....Scott

Re: Mouse Wheel in X-Windows
FWIW:
AIX disables wheel support by default, as "it might cause issues with applications". they do supply a file /usr/lpp/X11/defaults/.Xdefaults.wheelmouse that is a good starting point.
Copy that to $HOME/.Xdefaults and "xrdb -merge" it or login in again.
