Moving the Printer Server

Hi
I have to move the printer server from one
system to another.
We have over 100 Printers so I don't want to reinstall all of them.

I saw that all printers we have are listed in(Have some files):

./etc/dt/appconfig/types/C/printername.dt
./etc/lp/interface/model.orig/printername
./etc/lp/interface/printername
./etc/lp/member/printername
./home/root/.dt/.Printers/printername_Print
./home/root/.dt/.Printers/printername
./var/spool/lp/request/printername

Can I yust move this folders to the new Server (yetadmin is install there) and thats it?
Is there any "delicate" thing wehre I should have look on it?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Moving the Printer Server

No Senta it is not done that way. When installing a printer using jetadmin software, it writes to other files like /etc/bootptab and /etc/hosts. The best thing to do is install them as remote printers to your server or reinstall them using the same IP address and name that they are assigned with on the network and it will work.

Clicking on the hyperlink in Rainer's message should put you right into that message thread without having to perform a search. The thread discusses how you can export the configuration via SAM copy some files to the new machine and then import the configuration via SAM.
