Moving to trusted SAM

What should I be aware of in removing NIS in order to use trusted SAM. This will affect HP UX 11.x, and 10.20 based K Class machines. We are attempting to close some of the security holes, and determined that trusted SAM is the way to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Re: Moving to trusted SAM

By converting your system to a trusted one you will have some additional control over the following:
1) enhanced login security (i.e. 3 tries and account locked)
2) enhanced password management (i.e. greater than 8 character passwords)
3) enhanced terminal security
4) system auditing

The drawbacks by converting from NIS are:
1) Localized user, host, group etc management.

The thing to remember is you CAN always revert back.
