Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

Hi Mike ,

seems mozila has not installed properly.

1.Check in /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log file for details.

2.Verify that Mozilla has installed properly .

# swlist -l bundle
# swverify bundle_name

3. Check you have installed the correct software , 32/64 bit.

cheers,
Raj.

Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

Hi Mike ,

It seems that your Java patches are not installed.
Do you have correct Java Patches installed.
And with latest Gold Patch bundle.

Check this patches required for Java,

http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/patches/g-11.11-1.3-1111.0406.html

Cheers ,
Raj.

Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

This problem is caused by the compatibility issue between JDK
1.3.1 & mozilla 1.7.3. Java Plug-in has an undefined data
Vftptr]key:__cl__16nsQueryInterfaceCFRC4nsIDPPv . This virtual class is
part of mozilla & has been removed from mozilla 1.7.X . So when trying
to load the plugin, Unstaisfied Symbol error is thow by the runtime
compiler.

Mozilla recommends user to use only JDK 1.4.0 & above for Solaris &
Linux.
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html#Java
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/solaris.html#Java

and I beleive this is the case for hpux too

Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

Mike ,

Check java RTE version.

# swlist -l product | grep java

you can get like that.

Jdk13 1.3.1.15.01 Java2 1.3 SDK
Jre13 1.3.1.15.01 Java2 1.3 RTE 1.3
--------------------
Make sure you have 1.4 Java RTE. ,

cheers.

Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

I have 1.3 & 1.4 on this server:
Jre13 1.3.1.16.00 Java2 1.3 RTE 1.3
Jre14 1.4.2.09.02 Java2 1.4 RTE

How do I tell Mozilla to use 1.4 instead of 1.3 ??

Re: Mozilla LoadPlugin Failed

Thanks all, I needed to install the right plugin for Mozilla, the one I downloaded only included Netscape for 1.4
