Mozilla Mail 1.6

Anyone else use this? Downloaded an installed Mozilla 1.6 depot from HP.
It is EXTREMELY slow at downloading messages from our exchange server (POP3 protocol). It takes about 8 mins for a 2mb file to be assembled in the Inbox.
1.4 had a very slow browser, but a fast mail download. 2mb almost instantly.
Netscape 4.79 is very fast as well.
All these retrieves were tested on the same box with the same settings, accessing the same account on the same server.
Bad build?
Anyone else notice this?

Don't know about your HP-UX release, but there are 1.7 Mozilla versions to download on http://www.mozilla.org/releases/ for HP-UX 11.00.

Slow down my be due to filtering system and anti-spam filtering.

If mozilla 1.6 does not help, look into networking issues as the culprit. Something may have changed at the Exchange Server.

I've downloaded 1.7 and will put that on today.
I've already rolled back from 1.6 to 1.4 to test, and it was much faster, so I think the exchange server is fine. Also if all exchange users had this problem, our organisation would grind to a halt! Luckily only about 20 people are on Mozilla 1.6 on HPUX.

1.7 is great! Mail program downloads from the exchange server at a suitably fast rate.

I have an software call out for this, HP have set up 1.6 their end and are going to try it over the weekend.
Will let you know how it pans out.
