Where is the MTU size parm located in Unix 11.1

Hi Dan,

The MRU size parameter can be changed with the lanadmin command, check the "man lanadmin" -M option.

Thank you I found our firewall is set different and am researching why were at 1500 and it's different

In theory, your firewall is also acting as an IP router, and as such should "do the right thing" when an IP datagram, too large to forward without fragmentation, arrives with the DF bit set. That is, it should send back an ICMP message with the proper path MTU and the UX host can then send segments that will not require fragmentation.

I'm assuming that by 11.1 you meant 11iv1 aka 11.11.

Yes that's correct I also found out our telcom personnel were doing some configuring at the same time.
