Re: MTU speed on 9.05
The MTU; as far as networking & cards are concerned; is the Maximum Transport Unit & is default at 1500 Bytes. It ha NOTHING to do with LAN card speed. It can be changed but you will no longer be using the same standard (803.??). Alternatively the LAN speed can be changed. Both of these can be changed from SAM or lanadmin.

Re: MTU speed on 9.05
Like I said 9.05 is a long time ago for me. So if SAM & landiag dont do the trick, then I would guess at the /etc/rc.config.d/xxx configs you may be able to define the MTU/LAN speed.
Regards

Re: MTU speed on 9.05
There was no support for 100BT nor for Gigabit.
The 10 Megabit interfaces were "driven" by either the lan2 or lan3 drivers and their corresponding NICs were 10 megabit half-duplex, 1500 byte MTU only.
I don't think we allowed shanging the MTU on the FDDI interface, and I _think_ that in 9.05 timeframes we may have only supported classic IP over ATM which had a fixed MTU of something like 9000 bytes.
So, Ithink the suggestion to see if the route command on 9.05 has the -p option to set the Path MTU is about the only way to go, short of upgrading the OS to something from the late 1990's or early 2000's.
